To save having to click through, the seven movies are:
-1776
-Captain America
-Independence Day
-The Patriot
-Yankee Doodle Dandy
-Hidden Figures
-The American President
Thanks, I should have added this, you corrected my lapse.
Yes -1776
No -Captain America
No -Independence Day
Maybe -The Patriot
Maybe -Yankee Doodle Dandy
No -Hidden Figures
No -The American President
Admittedly, I haven’t seen them all, but not a great list:
1776 - OK; not woke or anti-American, but a little boring with forgettable music
Captain America - haven’t seen, but it’s modern-day Marvel; is it really that much better than the other Marvel garbage?
Independence Day - OK, but of course they had to go all “we are the world” with the ending.
The Patriot - OK, but it’s Mel Gibson at his hokiest
Yankee Doodle Dandy - haven’t seen; would like to
Hidden Figures - haven’t seen; some black women are the “real heroes” of the space program? Whatever.
The American President - complete leftist wishful thinking.
Gettysburg or a decent WWII movie would be better.
I’m good with two of them
Yankee Doodle Dandy... loved all my life and just watched with commentary by TCM that Cagney was accused of being communist sypathizer and making this movie cleaned up his image. Disturbing.
