Admittedly, I haven’t seen them all, but not a great list:

1776 - OK; not woke or anti-American, but a little boring with forgettable music

Captain America - haven’t seen, but it’s modern-day Marvel; is it really that much better than the other Marvel garbage?

Independence Day - OK, but of course they had to go all “we are the world” with the ending.

The Patriot - OK, but it’s Mel Gibson at his hokiest

Yankee Doodle Dandy - haven’t seen; would like to

Hidden Figures - haven’t seen; some black women are the “real heroes” of the space program? Whatever.

The American President - complete leftist wishful thinking.

Gettysburg or a decent WWII movie would be better.

Please --- Sit Down John is great, and it fits into the story of John Adams being not well liked. I saw the stage play in Chicago, and I can tell you that the Molasses to Rum to Slaves song was, what used to be called, a showstopper. It was intense to see live.

It is a Captain America origin story. It takes place during WWII, so that is very different. I liked it; but, I liked the MCU movies, with the exception of Captain Marvel. I know that Brie Larsen won an Oscar for some film she was in; but, I think she is just such a wooden actor. Also, contrary to Oprah saying that Black Panther wasn't a movie, it was a Revelation -- Black Panther was just okay. And the Tomatometer on that film would back me up as, I think, there is a 20 point difference between the Critics score and the Audience score.

One of the reasons that I like the MCU movies, is that they are, at least, entertaining; which is saying something for the movies that come out lately. At least with the MCU movies, you can have a good time without getting p.o.'d about the "wokeness".
