The Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Sunday said it expected to issue emergency use authorization to the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine, which is believed to be effective against coronavirus variants, including the Delta variant.
"We are possibly looking to issue EUA to Novavax, one of the vaccines developed in the US and India. It is very promising and it seems to be effective against the Delta variant. They already published their results."
"The EUA approval of Novavax is still pending with UK, India and America before they could complete their application here in the Philippines but we are expecting that they will soon send vaccines in the country."
So far, the Philippine FDA granted EUA to vaccine manufacturers Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinovac (CoronaVac vaccine), Gamaleya Institute (Sputnik V), Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), Bharat Biotech (Covaxin), and Moderna.
In a Reuters report, Novavax said its protein-based vaccine was more than 93% effective against the more contagious predominant coronavirus variants.

I know there’s excitement among those hoping this vaccine will be better, or will actually be a vaccine at all.
Unfortunately, it’s toxic because instead of injecting mRNA or DNA to produce spike proteins, the injection is pure spike proteins.
Safe medications are better and many already have had covid and will have long lasting immunity.

Novavax appears to be a very safe and efficacious vaccine. Hopefully they’ve already scaled up actual production and can hit the ground running with distribution. Fans of “traditional” vaccines will like this one.

Novavax has said it will not seek emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration until at least the third quarter of 2021. More than 54% of the U.S. population has already been vaccinated, and polls show many others are unwilling to take the shot.
Yet experts said a Novavax approval could still be important in the U.S. Novavax is a more “traditional” type of vaccine, made like the ones that have been widely used for decades to prevent diseases like hepatitis B and whooping cough. That could appeal to some who remain hesitant to take the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which were developed with a new technology that uses messenger RNA to induce an immune response, experts said.
“This may help overcome vaccine hesitancy in some groups,” said Dr. Daniel Culver, the chairman of the Cleveland Clinic’s department of pulmonary medicine. “This is more of a tried-and-true, familiar technology.”

RE: Novavax appears to be a very safe and efficacious vaccine. Hopefully they’ve already scaled up actual production and can hit the ground running with distribution.
You know, For the U.S., vaccine supply isn’t an issue. The problem is convincing more people to get the shot.
It’s unlikely the Novavax vaccine will appeal to those who are adamantly opposed to getting the shot. But it could be more likely to sway those who remain on the fence and are looking for an option they feel more comfortable with.
It won’t be the answer to the anti-vaxxers But it will be an answer to the vaccine hesitant, who are just taking a little longer to think about it.
The Novavax vaccine is made with a modified version of a gene from the spike protein on the coronavirus. Scientists inserted the gene into another type of virus that infects insects, and used the combination to infect moth cells. That produced a spike protein for the coronavirus, which Novavax used to create the vaccine.
The fact Novavax is made in a more traditional manner could be a selling point for some ( not all ). We may be able to reach more people in the U.S. who, for one reason or another, would accept a vaccine that’s a recombinant protein vaccine.
A Novavax EUA would also give the U.S. more options as scientists continue to study whether we will need booster shots to protect against coronavirus mutations like the Delta variant ( or more Greek Lettered strains in future ).

THey are lying.
As ‘vaccine’ brands come under fire, they promote other brands. J&J and MSM were all saying the J&J was a traditional vaccine when that’s patently false. It injects a piece of DNA spliced with animal genome which is to produce toxic spike proteins. THIS is what J&J and the MSM were pushing as ‘traditional vaccine.’
WIth J&J exposed as harmful, it’s on to the next biowarfare agent, this time Novavax is getting the FAKE NEWS promotion. It’s an injection of spike proteins.

I was thinking Novavax, at this point, will be taking a more international approach toward marketing their vaccine with Americans being more limited in numbers.

Novavax is yet another offspring of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Like Moderna, the company Novavax was going out of business before being given a contract to make the vax.
