Obama wouldn't be eligible to serve or run for president again, plus he probably doesn't want the headaches. Pelosi is too old. She has power already without the visibility and responsibilities that would come from the presidency.

Team Biden is trying to undercut Harris, but to me the point isn't to push her out, but to keep her from pushing Biden out. Biden's team wants him to serve out his full term and (wishful thinking) another term and this is their way of telling her to back off.

The problem is that they've sold her as the Black Asian Woman VP and if she were to be replaced it would be hard to find someone who checks those boxes.

Short of impeachment or resignation, there is no legal mechanism for replacing a V.P. Should she die or resign, the President can nominate a successor who must be approved by a simple majority of the House and Senate.
