Unfortunately, Joe Biden is failing mentally and physically more quickly than they anticipated.
Pelosi is in only slightly better shape that Biden, and while she is still lucid enough to put on the President Show for a while, she has accumulated too many enemies in the other factions. They are going to want someone else. They will have someone else.
Very specifically, they are going to want a "Person of Color" to take on the role-play of President and that person must have no independent power base to potentially oppose them. They will want a woman, but no suitable candidates seem to be available.
Kamala Harris is apparently failing some behind-the-scenes audition or directions and must be replaced. Otherwise there would not be the current media campaign of criticism against her. The media do not work against top Democrats unless they are directed to do so.

This looks like a high-probability scenario to me. Other variations are possible. In none of the pathways does Nancy Pelosi end up as President.
I wonder who really has effective control of the Intelligence Agencies, the Military, the various national "Law Enforcement Agencies" or the armed Civilian Agencies. They are the ones who will eventually cast the deciding "vote" in case of a tie in the factions.

I am curious about the reporting as well. I am so cynical about liberal journalist. They have been so bad over the years that I find it hard to believe that they would do any actual truthful reporting on democrap incompetence; so I conclude these articles could possibly be orchestrated by rivals.

The country allowed the fraud that passed for a presidential election in November.
After that, anything goes my friend.
People seem to place that blame on the national scene. The responsibility for that election falls on the States. Not Mike Pence. Not the DNC. But on the local election boards and your statehouse. If you are thinking that responsibility lies elsewhere, you are not in tune with how this all works.
But we keep electing ineffectual state reps and senators. And we let local elections slide by without much of a look.

My point is that the "election" last November changed everything.
The biggest democracy in the world (India is not really a democracy) just had a fraudulent election. Everybody knows. You no longer live in a constitutional republic.
You are moving towards an oligopoly. It will not be a peaceful move. Many of the states in the heartland are not ok with this.
And the interesting thing is that my life, day to day, hasn’t changed. Life is good.
