We are, especially here in Brooklyn, living in Robin DiAngelo's world. And yet she seems so unhappy about it.
The five-minute walk to my neighborhood bookstore to buy DiAngelo's new book Nice Racism: How Progressive White People Perpetuate Racial Harm is filled with totems signaling the continued ascendancy of the self-styled anti-racist movement.
A window on my block bears the hand-scrawled sign "INACTION = CONSENT," a Manichean formulation that DiAngelo echoes throughout her follow-up to the 2018 smash hit White Fragility ("if we are not actively challenging those [racist] structures, we are supporting them," etc.). The storefront of my local State Assembly representative's office displays not one but three Black Lives Matter signs. Across the street, the fence of my youngest's elementary school is festooned with student art condemning discrimination and celebrating diversity. That school recently shrunk its zone (my house, 150 feet away, is no longer in it) and changed admissions policies in an effort to "disrupt zones of exclusion." And just past the bookstore is my eldest's much more diverse middle school, more famously known now as the subject of the New York Times podcast Nice White Parents, whose sardonic, guilt-encouraging title likely influenced DiAngelo's latest.

Beotch
Barack Obama was very disappointed in the racist white people who elected him president. Twice.
‘Lady’ I don’t play chess with pigs and I’m not going to debate you, but please don’t take that inaction as tacit support. That doesn’t work except in your ‘mind’.
It’s always the light-skinned blacks.
I got rich on my own merits.
She looks pretty white to me.
Wait, isn’t that a photo of Rachel Dolezal?
Has the same initials too.
Weird...
I agree.
Over-educated, weak-willed, white, progressive, racists in higher education, media, and government perpetuate racism and racial harm.
Beverly Diangelo is just as black as her.
I think I'll call it " Nice Fascism."
Self-loafing ????
I think you mean self-loathing !
Self-loafing gives a mental image of Onslow !

I challenged the Congressional Black Caucasians. Haven't heard back.
Who?
Time to open a Black Rifle coffee franchise on that block.
I guess it’s up to conservative white people to set things right.
Robin has daddy issues, maybe stepmother issues too - took her deceased mother’s maiden name and built an grievance industry around that agression. Reflected in her statement that she’s white, oppressed-privileged, she was brought up in a latino heavy town of bay area virtue signalers and the whipped, woke commies of Seattle, rescued from childhood poverty by her father. Or, as wiki also points out: “ In a 2019 article for The New Yorker, the columnist Kelefa Sanneh characterized DiAngelo as “perhaps the country’s most visible expert in anti-bias training, a practice that is also an industry, and from all appearances a prospering one”. Projecting her own emotional issues onto father-figures (white men) certainly has been prosperous for her and her spawn.
“DiAngelo was born Robin Jeanne Taylor into a working-class family in San Jose, California, the youngest of three daughters born to Robert Z. Taylor and Maryanne Jeanne DiAngelo.[3][4] Her parents divorced when she was two and the family fell into poverty. When DiAngelo was ten years old her mother died of cancer, after which time she and her sisters went to live with their father.[5]
She has written that her “experience of poverty would have been different had [she] not been white”, reflecting that although she feels that she faced “class oppression”, she also benefited from “racial privilege”.[6]
