It doesn’t take much imagination to imagine internet access requiring a fingerprint. After all, my phone (S21) now has (optional) fingerprint identification, although that is stored locally at the moment. Or so I’m told.
Isn’t it racist to require fingerprints? After all, some minority groups might not have the “resources” to know how to have their fingerprints taken. /s
Hell, I have no problem with having my identity AND THE IDENTITIES OF OTHERS VERIFIED BY FINGERPRINTS (or other barometrics). Anyone who has served in the military or gotten a security clearance has gone through this process.
The technician supervising the process will undoubtedly immediately recognize that the scan had been spoiled, so I don't see the purpose of even attempting it.
