My grandfather allowed a fellow to sell fireworks just beside the farm entrance. The deal was that my brother and I could each fill up a grocery sack with whatever we wanted. We especially enjoyed blowing up fresh cow pies with M80’s. That was in the early 1960’s when I was 10.

...and now thanks to our overprotective government. M-80s and Cherry Bombs are a thing of the past. Weren’t M-80s considered a quarter stick of dynamite? Now it’s a flash bang used only by the police against humans that used to have them.
