While I’m sorry the man is dead, this is one of the few incidents where where liberal ideology only hurt the liberal. Normally, it’s liberals enacting policies...the consequences of, they do not have to experience.

While there likely IS a place for social workers to help defuse some of these situations, they need police backup. It is the height of arrogance and naiveite to assume that words & good intentions will help convince dangerous thugs to stand down.

Reminds me of those peace activists who travel to the most dangerous parts of the world (to show how “wrong” everyone is about those areas) & get promptly get themselves killed.
