Corporations pay taxes on profits. One way to lower corporate profits is to distribute money to shareholders and employees. That payout is then subject to the recipient’s tax rate. The corporation then only pays taxes on the profits plowed back into the company.
If corporations don’t do something like this, they will have to raise prices to cover the increased rate of taxation. So the consumers end up carrying the water.
The question will be, which payout will be lower?
Greedy private citizens depriving their govt. masters of the funding to which they are entitled! I am shocked!

The countries didn’t agree to this; the governments of the countries agreed to this. If a group of businesses combined to set minimum prices on goods, we would call it a cartel, and outlaw it as injurious to the public interest, and think of it as a conspiracy against the consuming public.

Thus for every dollar spent .... 15 cents more of that dollar goes to the government and this does not include what the government already takes in taxes from that dollar. Be happy they didn’t take the whole dollar one supposes
