Conservatives claim that schools are indoctrinating students in “critical race theory.” Liberals argue that conservatives don’t even know what critical race theory is — and that if they did, they’d realize teachers aren’t actually exposing kids to it.
But a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll suggests that the roiling culture war over so-called CRT isn’t about whether today’s schoolchildren are suddenly probing the complexities of an academic approach to race that originated among legal scholars in the mid-1970s.
Rather, the clash over CRT — aside from whatever the term now connotes in the public imagination — appears to be a supercharged spinoff of a deeper dispute between conservatives and pretty much every other group in the United States.

I read the article...my criticism of the writer had to do with this notion that those who argue against CRT can’t define it and he criticizes those conservatives who “think CRT is being taught in the schools” when “it is not”. He was being disingenuous when he so stated the aforementioned since most conservatives do know what CRT is but we’ve seen the horrendous lesson and teaching plans designed with CRT’s tenets and assumptions in mind. He utters one technically narrow correct fact to bash conservatives with but ignores the policies and the lesson plans that were developed with CRT’s sophistry imbedded in those plans. That is gaslighting...plain and simple.
The writer was writing to a liberal audience basically stating that Republicans are alone and isolated and are basically stupid...the usual claptrap with his favorite cherry picked polling data added in as though consensus is a bolster to his arguments.

It’s hard to tell agreement from sarcasm in print sometimes...well I’m glad we agree!
Had an argument on CRT with some white female young college thing(who said conservatives could define CRT and it wasn’t being taught in schools blah blah) on another forum ...the conversation shut down when I reminded her that “perhaps white woke girls like her can take over the black protest groups leaderships to lead black men and women into a future of CRT race based equity as defined by white woke girl college girls like her! She ran away so fast I felt the wind blowing off the facebook page....
