Recent reports claim that a second data breach at Microsoft-owned LinkedIn has exposed the personal data of 700 million users, which is more than 92 percent of the platform’s total 756 million users.

Maybe that’s what they *really* meant by being .... LinkedIn.
🙃
Linked In is like Hotel California. Once you join you can never leave.
I sure hope all those snotty woke creeps are the hardest hit! 😁
Ping.
Paging George Orwell.
Not good. MSFT. Horrible company top to bottom. Should be named ‘Mediocrosoft’
The 8% of those not exposed are happy.....
Like Microsoft really gives a crap at this point? Digital fleecing is the new normal. Custodians of data don’t even care or apologize anymore. From your kids schools, physicians office, county tax assessor, utility providers, insurance company, grocery chain, credit card company, to your local police department, they just suggest credit monitoring for a few years!?!! Because they screwed up and no authorities are willing to prosecute the culprits. They just write off their losses and tell you to live with it.
Was it really a “breach” or was the NSA running it’s daily data grab and the contractor forgot to show the collection point as one of LinkedIn’s own addresses?
After posting your life history on LinkedIn, what more is there to be leaked?
I had no idea that Microsoft owned LinkedIn.
LinkedIn has become Facebook lite. Another social media page need to quit.
Weird huh? It's almost like they created these "database programs" in order to leak them later. Are there any of them that have not had a data breach?
A year after Microsoft purchased LinkedIn (2018) a data breach saw millions of records leaked (mine included). MS could argue that it wasn’t entirely their fault and they seemed able to distance themselves.
Now it’s going to take a little more explaining. This and the recent hack of MS Exchange email systems, suggests MS is very leaky.
Many MS shareholders were not convinced of the purchase of LinkedIn - which at $26billion - remains its largest ever by a very large margin.
For users like me, with a paid subscription, it’s fast becoming Facebook for business users and not worth the money.
I wasn’t stupid enough to put that kind of information on LinkedIn.
Just keep giving MS those dollars so that they can expand “business as usual”.
Makes me feel pretty good about not putting more personal info on there, even though they’re constantly bugging me to add more to my “profile.”
Office 365 records everything you are typing. Windows 10 records everything, Cortana same. Microsoft is spying on all. They do not care if your information is exposed. They are only upset that they cannot sell it themselves.
