Russian warplanes repeatedly flew low over a Dutch navy frigate in the Black Sea last week and carried out “mock attacks,” the Defense Ministry of the Netherlands said Tuesday.
The incident involving the Dutch ship Zr. Ms. Evertsen happened last Thursday southeast of Crimea, the ministry said in a statement.
It came a day after after Russia said one of its warships in the Black Sea fired warning shots and a warplane dropped bombs to force a British destroyer out of an area near Crimea that Russia claims as its territorial waters. Britain denied that account and insisted its ship wasn’t fired upon.
The Evertsen has been patrolling in the Black Sea with HMS Defender, the British ship that was involved in that incident.
Defense Minister Minister Ank Bijleveld-Schouten called the Russian actions “irresponsible.”

Indeed! That ship has sailed long ago. It will never be transferred back, nor should it. Plus, it would be downright inhumane to force Crimeans to go back to that political cesspool known as Ukraine.
“Because we need a war to keep Biden whispers off the news”.
I don’t think so. Xiden is off to Miami Beach today while the story of 159 victims plays out—day by day...
International waters or Ukraine waters?
Dutch frigate was in INTERNATIONAL WATERS, while Ruskies conducted mock attacks on the frigate for five hours.
You are proposing nonsense, banning all military ships from "innocent passage", since every military vessel can be potentially on an "intelligence gathering mission". Only crazy country that argues that position is China.
The 1989 USA-USSR Joint Statement on the Uniform Interpretation of Rules of International Law Governing Innocent Passage confirms that:
"All ships, including warships …, enjoy the right of innocent passage through the territorial sea in accordance with international law, for which neither prior notification nor authorization is required."
Ruskies just conducted a naval military exercise 30 miles off the coast of Hawaii, practicing destroying a carrier. We had planes watching them, BUT we did not jam the ships while making mock bombing runs on them for five hours while they were in international waters.

This wouldn’t happen with Trump. That azzhole Putin would behave.
Our Euroweenie “allies” weren’t playing these games when Trump was POTUS. This will end very badly. This is obviously a little present to Biden for stealing the election.
If Russia would hold some naval exercises in the Gulf of Mexico I bet our planes would be right there

Would 34 miles from Hawaii qualify?
As long as you're okay with Russia doing the same exercise 10 miles off of, say, Tampa/St. Pete.
US routinely sees Ruskie ships off the coast of the US in international waters. We don't mock bomb them.
I said ten miles.
Dutch Navy ?
Russian ships routinely cross the English Channel and enter British waters.
"The HMS Tyne patrol boat, armed with a canon and machine guns, shadowed the vessels as they moved from the North Sea through the Strait of Dover on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said the Russian ships were permitted to enter UK waters under international law and it is understood that they complied with all maritime reporting regulations."

The 1958 Convention on the Territorial Sea and the Conti-guous Zone was understood by many nations, including the United States, to have established a right of innocent passage through territorial waters for military vessels

Sure, why not? Check out their equipment.
NATO is entirely vulnerable in the Black Sea. The Russians could destroy any NATO vessels at their leisure.
It was never part of the Ukraine, it was part of the Ukrainian SSR, big difference.
Sure, why not? Check out their equipment.

They just did, in case you missed it. We had to expose assets to keep them at bay - not an equal exchange.
