and, in all probability, LESS lethal (more contagious, less lethal are corollaries).
MAYBE more people - of a particularly narrow range of comorbidities - will die off quickly, as MORE people carry and spread the largely LESS LETHAL variant(s) but THEY NEED TO ISOLATE, not the rest of us.

How do WE know that? I heard the same about the “UK strain”. The second there’s (supposedly) another strain detected the immediate narrative is that it is worse. In reality, most mutations are LESS severe.
I also question the ability to know this. The PCR tests, in general, give high numbers of false positives (too many amplification cycles). I find it astonishing that they “know” there’s even a new strain and am even more astonished that everywhere immediately has a test for it. Quite miraculous.

More infectious yes. But if infected w Delta, what you *might* come down with (symptoms, illness) is more mild than the original Covid. So I have read.

Dr Bridle, pro-vax and vaccine developer, has said that our approach to cv19 via mass vax, instead of allowing the healthy to develop robust natural herd immunity, just about guarantees that we will end up with more transmissible and pathogenic variants.
Interesting that the variants seem to be coming from the locations where the cv19vx’s were originally tested.
