The NFL has released a video on TV and online that unequivocally embraces the LGBTQ community, stating that football is gay, lesbian, queer, transgender, beautiful and other descriptors.
This ought to help secure their fan base.

These declarations are exclusive and contradictory.
What if NFL had come out and said ‘Football is straight. Football is normal. Football is accepting.’
The LGBTQ community would say that’s not accepting at all!

Football is mentally ill and unamerican. It is now, unfortunately. Hard to break the habit of sitting in a (for us college) football stadium on a beautiful fall afternoon waiting for the game to start. Loved it all. Or having friends and family over for an NFL party.
But, we did it and the NFL hasn't been on in our home in three years and we've stopped with the college football too.
