Jen Psaki says REPUBLICANS are the 'defund the police' party after they voted against Biden's American Rescue Plan that would have provided millions for local law enforcement

On Sunday Biden's senior advisor blamed Republicans for defunding the police

Cedric Richmond said Republicans voted against the $1.9 trillion COVID rescue plan, known as American Rescue Plan, included $350 billion for police

On Monday Jen Psaki, White House spokesman, backed Richmond's remarks

She said the plan 'could help ensure local cops were kept on the beat'

Fox News' Peter Doocy had asked Psaki how Cedric Richmond, one of Biden's advisors, could claim that Republicans defunded the police by not supporting the American Rescue Plan.

'But how is it that that is an argument to be made when the president never mentioned needing money for police to stop a crime wave when he was selling the American Rescue Plan?' Doocy asked.

Psaki replied: 'Well, the president did mention that the American Rescue Plan, the state and local funding, something that was supported by the president, a lot of Democrats who supported and voted for the bill, could help ensure local cops were kept on the beat in communities across the country.

'As you know, it didn't receive a single Republican vote.

'That funding has been used to keep cops on the beat.'

Psaki added: 'I think that any local department would argue that keeping cops on the beat to keep communities safe when they had to - because of budget shortfalls - fire police is something that helped them address crime in their local communities.'

How can something be defunded when it never existed in the first place?

Police are not to be federally funded. Very bad idea. Just turning down funding from any source, no matter whom, does not make someone a police defunder.

Richmond is just as crazy as Psaki. Never use the word “Honest, accurate, truthful, unbiased or sane” when referring to them. If you do, your Webster dictionary will go up in flames, spew green pea soup and spin around on your bookcase.

So this is how they are going to spin it.

Chris Wallace floated it as a trial balloon the other day to test it out.

“The memo” has gone out.

To be fair, I never said I entirely agreed with her.

Certainly I don’t believe she would want a federally funded police agency that would seek to infiltrate every institution of of society and every aspect of daily life, including even intimate personal and familial relationships.

Definitely She would not support using official apparatus and a vast network of informants, unofficial collaborators, who might spy on colleagues, friends, neighbors, and even family members.

P.S did you get your “VAX” yet ?

Psaki added: 'I think that any local department would argue that keeping cops on the beat to keep communities safe when they had to - because of budget shortfalls - fire police is something that helped them address crime in their local communities.'

Local community - dominated by Dems - defund the police and re-route funds to "community-outreach" projects. Police are thus effectively without funds. Fedgov then steps in to "re"-fund police. Reps object. Dems then accuse THEM of "wanting to defund the police."

Rinse and repeat.

Regards,

Always the same lie.
1) If the Dems want money, it is always for police and roads.
2) When they get the money, it gets spend on their pet projects.
3) When money is gone, return to the 1)!

Very simple algorithm. Is there still somebody who do not understands this?

Nobody believes that, not even in cities like Oakland, Ca.
Those Dem voters are hobbling their own carts by voting to defund.

It’s like school taxes. When it comes time to push a new school tax, the first hostages taken are sports and buses. They never threaten to cut the third assistant vice principal if the tax increase is not voted in.

Hey Jen, tell your side to offer the Republicans a bill to ONLY FUND THE POLICE with no strings attached. And when they vote it down you will be so very vindicated.

...well that is unless you are lying like a rug and damn well know they would love such an offer.
