To: Secret Agent Man
This kind of crap is why I vowed never to be in the military.

Serving in the military was one of the best decisions I ever made (45+ years ago) - but the older I get, the more I feel played. But at the company level - best friends you’ll ever have.

I agree, you never create a bond of friendship like you do in the military. Now retired now longer than I was in, I still run across fellow military members I was stationed/deployed with and we can pick up a conversation as if it was yesterday.

My sentiments exactly. They were best friends but also individuals that you could trust....sometimes with your life.
