EUGENE, Ore. -- For the past week, the national anthem has played one time per evening at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials. On Saturday, the song happened to start while outspoken activist Gwen Berry was standing on the podium after receiving her bronze medal in the hammer throw.
While the music played, Berry placed her left hand on her hip and fidgeted. She took a quarter turn, so she was facing the stands, not the flag. Toward the end, she plucked up her black T-shirt with the words "Activist Athlete" emblazoned on the front, and draped it over her head.
"I feel like it was a setup, and they did it on purpose,'' Berry said of the timing of the anthem. "I was pissed, to be honest.''...

When the 280lb transgender “women” start competing with the ladies, the only podium Gwendolyn will get near is when they honor the brainless
She should resign from the team if she can’t proudly represent her country.
Maybe she was looking to see what happened to the hammer catcher?
it’s only in it for itself.
Color me shocked...
She’s as stupid (or maybe mendacious) as she is ugly.
OK. Fine. Then don’t stand on the podium. No one cares. Drop off the team and do what you want without representing the US. There are flights out of America every minute of the day. Find one back to Africa or anywhere just so long as it is far, far away.
Take your ass out of the country if your not proud of it. This place allows you to change your gender and excepted you. But you have to push it. Now you turn your back on us. Yep us. Your country men. Need to ship him/her and some of the politicians to cuba.
I hate to be the one to break it to you, sweetie, but it’s not always about you.
She’s a top contender for the gold this year. In the STUPID COMPETITION. But dont forget her competition, meegan rapahoe, the dude on the bmx bike, ( may he wrap his nutz on the gooseneck, handle bars, or cross bar, hard enough to make him the woman he pretends to be), and others..
I personally was shocked when I saw this!
Just kidding; nobody saw this...
Oh, come on...it’s uncool to show any form of allegiance to the nation that enabled you to succeed and attain fame and respect in your field.
On the other hand it is:
“cool”
“fashionable”
“in”
“hip”
“awesome”
“neat”
“modern”
to show total disdain to your country, nation, people and way of life that enabled you to become a spoiled, stupid and immature brat.
These are 1968 Mexico City Olympic protest-wannabees.
Did somebody fool her into competing for the US team? Or is she just a moron? She’s not competing to represent a multinational corporation or a foreign country. Those who want to represent the US should be all in on board for America or go somewhere else.
Best to remember that this bizarre woman and Joe Biden do not exist in a political vacuum. Much of America has devolved morally to a point that these creatures have and are part of a sizable constituency. That is the challenge and reality that confronts rational, decent people.
No such thing as transgender. There are two genders, man and woman. Anything else is a mental illness.
It appears that she has been talking to Michelle Obama; both are “not proud” of the country that gave them far more than 99 percent of the population and both of them look like muscular men.
This is and has been the goal all along: remove the flag, national anthem, constitution,...anything that has to do with the founding of this great land.
Yes, Berry is being disrespectful to her follow Americans here. And she is also being vain and selfish.
But like so many others, she is also a dupe. America is bad, the media tells us constantly. Bad, bad America! This relentless propaganda is having an effect.
And nothing good can come of it. Nothing at all. It will only Balkanize the country even more than it already is.
