The total death data in the two CDC documents I site are based on tallies of State raw data for death from ANY CAUSE.
The data comes from death certificates filed from local medical examiners.
It’s extremely clear that over 600k people have died in the last 18 months who otherwise wouldn’t have.
Did ALL of them die from COVID? NO
Did the VAST MAJORITY of them die from COVID? YES, although the vast majority of them were not in the best of health, shall we say.
The shutdown reduced deaths of some types, increased deaths in others. Definitely never was worth locking down everything, but the public wouldn’t accept that type of approach with someone as antithetical to the Left as POTUS, and so the political idiots ran away with the power grab.
