Woke Won’t Win Wars If you had the good fortune to stay away from the news this past week then you missed the sad spectacle of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff going all in on critical race theory (CRT) like some fey, woke academic.
Not very long ago, it seemed that the last thing we would have to worry about would be the United States military going the way of commie academia.

This trend towards woke sentiments among the higher ranks of the military is disturbing for any number of reasons. Hillbilly Elegy author J.D. Vance brilliantly illustrated a couple of them in a brief Twitter thread on Friday. Vance — a Marine and Iraq War veteran — took Gen. Milley to task, questioning the general’s priorities and reading habits:

ARTICLE 133, UCMJ. CONDUCT UNBECOMING AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN Any commissioned officer, cadet, or midshipman who is convicted of conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
Elements.
(1) That the accused did or omitted to do certain acts; and
(2) That, under the circumstances, these acts or omissions constituted conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman.
Article 133 provides for punishment of “behavior in an official capacity which, in dishonoring or disgracing the person an officer, seriously compromises the officer’s character as a gentleman, or action or behavior in an unofficial . . . capacity which . . . seriously compromises ther person’s standing as an officer.”
Sure seems a case of compromising 'their'* standing as an officer to me.

We do not live in a world of clarity. (Or one that provides the truth) CRT is not supposed to be a diversity and inclusion “training” but has reached a practice of interrogating the role of race and racism in society that emerged in the legal academy and spread to other fields of scholarship. And the main problem with this is providing a pattern through those that utilize CRT as an attack weapon through those “trainings” have pushed it far past those that buy the newspapers and into the ears of those that hear the paper read to them like our children.
And thanks to those people like the media, the department of education, politicians, and every little (or big) organization that needs their 15 minutes it is no longer a study but an all our attack, damn the torpedoes, and everyone is wrong but them. And soon the pied pipers are going to lead us to ruin/disaster...take your pick.

Now I'm trying to figure the count of people in the picture. I'm figuring 1) Chairman, 2) Vice-Chairman, 3-7) Individual Service Heads (Including new Space Force, but that leaves an extra as there are 8 in the picture. Don't think that Coast Guard or US Public Health are part of the Joint Chiefs even though they are counted as "Uniformed Services".
I’m guessing the short guy was in the submarine service.
