A woman who lost her job after expressing views that sex cannot be changed and transgender women are "not women" has won an appeal against an employment tribunal. (Snip)
On Thursday, High Court judge Mr Justice Chowdhury said the original tribunal had "erred in law", adding that her views "may well be profoundly offensive and even distressing", but said they "must be tolerated in a pluralist society".

“may well be profoundly offensive and even distressing”, but said they “must be tolerated in a pluralist society”.
Science is profoundly offensive and even distressing.
Just ask Galileo
her views “may well be profoundly offensive and even distressing”, but...
No. To the Normals, her views "ARE profoundly reasonable, common-sensical, and quite uplifting"
“Offensive speech”. “Hate speech”. These are tactics of the Left to get around the First Amendment (US). 1A gives you the right to be ‘offensive’. It does not give anyone the right to not be offended.
Good! Punch back twice as hard.
Yeah, if by "profoundly offensive and even distressing" you mean the God's truth.
amen!
Hmmmm...I need a family tribunal for this one: Our twenty-something nephew has decided he is a girl. He wears women’s clothing and hairdos, and has taken a girly name (legally changed? I didn’t ask). I’ve not heard if he’s had any surgery but assume hormones, because he’s showing tits. I still refer to him by his male name and decline to call him her or she. This is upsetting to some family members; my attitude is “tough $hit”. Since these are my wife’s family it creates some tension.
He was an Eagle Scout, and I wonder if a homosexual scout leader turned him.
I know someone who did that and regretted it, I gather that its sort of like volunteering to be a post-menopausal woman. This person said that the psychological screening was tough to try to weed out people who were only doing this to try to solve psychological problems that already had treatment protocols unrelated to gender dysphoria. It sounds like that thinking has gone by the wayside though, since this is now the big popular thing. Its all over the gaming sites, podcasts, tiktok, college, so its fashionable now, I doubt the Scouts had much if anything to do with it.
There is another one locally I know of and frankly, to me the kid (very bright) seems like a bomb just waiting for someone to set it off (and nobody sees it because he comes from a respected family) There seems to be a whole lot of unresolved crazy among the well-educated elite’s kids and we live in a place and time where this operation and lifetime of hormone therapy is being dangled as a solution to all one’s problems of not fitting in.
I feel sorry for the ones I’ve encountered, I don’t want to make their lot worse, if you know what I mean. But everyone is being ginned up into a very angry hateful state, and if you think that being a young guy wearing a dress is going to make you fit in, there are going to be some problems with that. I just hope that families hang onto their members, even the weird ones, because released into the wild with no support is a recipe for disaster.
