Ah, always count on the press to get half of the story. I guess that could be all there was to it, but the guy looks like a dirtbag. Could be wrong of course.

"If you possibly can, get to a nice, bucolic rural area, and quickly."

Real estate prices and violent crime are already skyrocketing in many rural areas because of such migrations.

Yep. They asked for it!

“If you possibly can, get to a nice, bucolic rural area, and quickly.”

An exurban community of 50,000 souls who believe in the Bible and 2nd amendment can give one a peaceful, family-orientated community that can meet nearly any threat.

Our nice area north of Coeur d’Alene is suffering from a HUGE inflow of people and crime is going up.

I'd guess it would take 120 years for it to get as bad as it is in areas like LA.

The residences kind of asked for this.

It was reported the property owners were followed home by the suspects in their “Rolls Royce”.

The Los Angeles area is not the area to flash your cash or flaunt your wealth. That is stupid to the bone. For real.

It’s why most celebrities and high profile people nowadays no longer use limousines, flashy cars etc. That’s like putting a target on their backs.

With the number of well-armed people AND their willingness to show up very quickly at any inkling of trouble, it may never happen.

In fact, nowadays the entire limousine industry in places like LA almost exclusively caters to high school proms and middle class idiots trying to play wealthy. The real wealthy and high profile individuals avoid all that flashy BS for the reasons stated above. In fact, some go out of their way to drive older used plain wrap vehicles. They’re smart!

"Only if you know how to use a firearm and own a few-if a bad guy does find their way out here to steal, you’d best be able to take care of yourself-in rural areas the distances are long so the sheriff deputy is at least 25-30 minutes away after your 911 call-he sill be grateful if he only has to pick up a thief’s body or arrest one that you are holding at gunpoint-frontier justice..."

There's also the increasingly common practice of criminals working as gangs when invading rural homes. They tend to have cellphones and/or other equipment and plans to try to have the victims prosecuted, just in case their primary plans to rob/rape/murder/kidnap meet resistance. Some of them even feed dogs at the home well in advance. The food will have the scent of the invaders on it.

“Fashion Nova CEO Richard Saghian”

Didn’t know, thanks. Violence is pretty routine for those guys, as their jealously typically cannot be controlled.

That is prob. correct. Very high cost for homes. 2 mill for standard 2200 sq foot mansion easy in that area.
Probably a gambling addicted floating amateur casino with house owner taking the vig. Guys and Dolls material. Paging Nathan Detroit.

Not around here-it wouldn’t be profitable-except for a few gated enclaves with a few high-dollar homes, these are the cheap seats-simple homes/cabins/mobile homes on acreage with livestock, chickens and other poultry, horses, donkeys, etc home based shops/businesses-that are well protected with firearms-unless the would-be robbers are planning to steal a backhoe, skid loader, tractor etc-or bring a trailer and rustle livestock-the penalty on the books for rustling is still death, I think...

Lawsuits for damages to trespassers-which is what intruders are-don’t get anywhere in these rural counties-a trespasser has already broken the law when he comes onto a gated, posted property with the gateposts painted purple-whatever happens to him is his own problem...

Most of us keep our dogs indoors when we are at work, etc, to keep anyone from poisoning or feeding them-and I can’t imagine a Great Pyrenees, Bullmastiff, German Shepherd, Rottie, etc letting anyone close enough to even throw food-dogs that guard stock and people are well trained to get rid of threats-like trespassers...

Yeah, and he says he never paid Camby, his “victim” a penny. Goetz’s life was ruined by that event, Camby (and the other thugs) never had a life to ruin. I know black lives matter and all that, but those four jamokes were destined to waste their worthless lives, regardless of what Goetz did.
