U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken stated that America would not allow the Russian Federation to use the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline as a tool for putting pressure on Ukraine and Europe as Reuters reported.

"Our goal remains to ensure that Russia cannot use energy as a coercive tool as a weapon against Ukraine, or anyone else in Europe," Blinken stated.

He also reminded the opinion of Washington that the Nord Stream 2 is the geopolitical project of Moscow, threatening the energy security of Europe and disrupting the security of Ukraine and other countries of the regions.

On June 4, President of Russia Vladimir Putin has stated that the laying of the first line of the Nord Stream 2 was finished.

Meanwhile, German government spokesman Steffen Seibert stated that it is extremely important for Berlin to maintain Ukraine's status as a gas transit country even after Nord Stream 2 is put into operation.

Russia can sell, or not sell, their energy resources to anyone they damn well please, for any reason they choose.

And nobody else gets a vote.

It’s ludicrous for Blinken to state otherwise.

Buyer beware.

Recall that Trump’s goal, had he remained in office, was not just to be energy sufficient in the US, but to have excess capacity to sell abroad to Germany and elsewhere.

This would eliminate Europe’s dependence on Russia for energy and deprive Russia of that income.

Elections do have consequences.

More virtue-signaling and PR posturing stupidity from the vegetable’s regime.

Its their gas, their pipeline, and their customer, Germany, has already told you to pound sand.

The world is laughing at us and they are going to thumb their noses at us. We are truly the laughing stock of the world.

Hunter Biden, Kerry’s son, Pelosi’s son, and Romney’s former chief of staff hit hardest.

LOL, moron, that is WHY it was built. Now the gas can go directly from Russia to Germany, and bypass sticky fingers Ukraine, and all the DC crowd who gets paid off by Ukraine for do nothing jobs.

Ukraine dammed the only water canal to Crimea, maybe they might find their gas supply shut down till they open the water.

We won’t do anything. This statement is intended to fulfill the liberal devotion to “good intentions.” When expressing intentions, results are not part of the equation.

Words. No action. Now or in the future. That’s the democrats’ way of doing things against our enemies. Unless the actions are meant to help those enemies.

“..Neville Chamberlain told Hitler, while giving Hitler a lists of cities he was not permitted to bomb...”

Recall Chamberlain, after Nazi occupation of Austria and Czechoslovakia, publicly called Hitler a “nice chap” with whom we can negotiate.

So we are war mongering with Russia over something we can do nothing about to poke our nose into Russia’s sphere of influence while utterly ignoring the threat to our maritime trading partner alliance system by another country whose name it is racist to even mention.

All Blinken managed to blurt was what “our goal” is, not that we’re actually going to do anything. This is so weak he’d have been better off keeping his mouth shut. I thought we’d plumbed the depths of foreign policy failure with the 0bama administration but this is worse.

Ever notice, DC has no problem with Russian gas going to Germany... as long as it passes through Ukraine where they can get in the middle to get paid. Hard to get in the middle of direct to customer transactions.
