Unlike King, Feinstein said last week she does not see democracy "as being in jeopardy right now," drawing considerable ire from members of her party for that remark.

How could Democracy be in peril now?

Trump is no longer president, and the Democrats control both houses of Congress and the Presidency.

And the USSC as usual is controlled by cowards and Leftist.

which is intended to counteract Republican election laws passed at the state level following the 2020 presidential election.

This is such BS. The original bill came up in 2019 obviously before the 2020 elections.

Then introduced in the House again on 1/4/2021 before any GOP election laws passed after the 2020 election.

Sen. Angus King, an independent from Maine who caucuses with the Democrats, stated that he views Republican voting restrictions as an "attack" on democracy, and that, "if forced to choose between a Senate rule and democracy itself, I know where I will come down."

Voter ID is an attack on democrarcy says Anus King.

The democrats are trying to bait a bipartisan support for a bill to nationalize the criminality that they perpetrated in 2020. The method of selecting electors is the states business and none of the business of the federal government. This orwellian named ‘for the people’ act is an attempt to federalize the election system and create a permanent democrat rule in DC.

Nothing strange going on here vote against it!

“..a broad-sweeping elections bill unlikely to draw any Republican support — Feinstein’s office released a statement announcing the senior senator’s strong support for the package, which is intended to counteract Republican election laws passed at the state level following the 2020 presidential election.”

This bill was in the works long before the 2020 election. It is not a reactive bill. The state laws passed to protect elections and prevent fraud were the reaction to what the Democrats scheme to achieve on a much larger scale with this bill.
