Farmers in the United States have reached a breaking point. They now say that what the government has done has been so disastrous that they are willing to stand off with the Feds.
Farmers in Oregon are protesting because they own the water in the Upper Klamath Lake, farmer Dan Nielsen told RT’s Ruptly video agency. He stood outside an American flag-colored tent that was set up next to the canal headgates, which control the flow of irrigation water from the lake. “It’s ours and the federal government actually just stole it. No due process of law, no compensation,” Nielsen said, adding that federal officials had violated the locals’ property rights guaranteed by the US Constitution.
Are people really just now figuring out that the government, doesn’t care about the Constitution…?

“We’re from the government. We’re here to help.”
I know one of those almond farmers. First, almonds suck up a lot of water. Second, orchards get torn out after they get old enough that their yields drop. Look for these orchards to be replanted.
The a-hole environmental left forced all this water to flow to the sea

Didn’t we have this discussion like 20 years ago?
Basically, yes. Anjd this discussion will be had again in the future.

He still lost to Reagan.
Always dangerous to depend on other peoples water for your farm.
Irrigation societies fail when the water runs out.

I’ve been told it works out to 1 gallon per mature nut, but I haven’t verified that.
They do make good firewood when they swap them out, though.
In Klamath it is for suckerfish and so the Indian tribes can go salmon fishing.
Killing someone does no good ... there are schools that teach that have to be shut down.
ALL of America's problems come from people that think a particular way.
THAT is our target.
The Frankfort school has to close it's doors, or OUR schools must be so much better, kids will flock to US.
Yup. Klamath Bucket Brigade. I had the T-shirt to boot.
Just like so many droughts and famines.
It’s politically caused, not an act of God.
He still lost to Reagan.
President Carter's oil and gas policies generated this protest.
