While President Joe Biden promised that none of his family members would receive government jobs, that hasn't extended to his top tier of advisers
Psaki was asked at the Monday briefing what safeguards the White House has in place to prevent preferential hiring of family members.
'We have the highest ethical standards of any administration in history,' Psaki replied. 'A number of ethics officials have conveyed that and we're proud of that... This is the most diverse administration in American history.'
At least five children of his top aides have gotten jobs, according to a report Friday in The Washington Post Relatives of other aides - including Chief of Staff Ron Klain's wife and press secretary Jen Psaki's sister - have also secured high-level posts
White House counselor Steve Ricchetti, deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed and presidential personnel office director Cathy Russell each have at least one direct family member working for the Biden administration
The scrutiny on hiring practices was triggered in part by the Treasury Department's announcement last week that it was hiring J.J. Ricchetti, son of Biden counselor Steve Ricchetti, leading to accusations of nepotism.
J.J. Ricchetti, a recent college graduate with no other experience listed on his department bio, will be a special assistant to the Treasury's office of legislative affairs.
A White House official said that the administration had prioritized hiring volunteers from the campaign, such as J.J.
Steve Ricchetti’s daughter, Shannon, a 2016 college graduate, also works at the White House, serving as the deputy associate director of the office of the White House social secretary.
Steve Ricchetti's son Daniel, who has more work experience, serves as a senior adviser in the office of the undersecretary of state for arms control and international security.

She’s so full of it!
If she thinks the majority of Americans believe her, she has some issues, one being a democrat.
Are nepotism and ethical behavior mutually exclusive? Not necessarily, but very likely. I doubt anyone wants to explore it properly in this case. I also do not trust “Raggedy Ann McCircle Back” (TY Schlichter) for a modicum of truth in this case.
Isn’t that what Clinton said?
Every Dem says it.
‘We have the highest ethical standards of any administration in history,’ Psaki replied. ‘A number of ethics officials have conveyed that and we’re proud of that... This is the most diverse administration in American history.’
And as a side note, when did we acquire ‘ethics officials’ and what are the qualifications for the job?
That’s the same thing Bill Clinton said, then the same thing the Obozo said and now their bastard child is spewing the same claim of being honest and ethical so we’re not believe our own lying eyes.
You’re asking a lot. Maybe start at the 3rd, I doubt they made 5.
All Democrat administrations claim that to show how bad the Republican administrations are staffed. The harder they claim ethics, the more intense the inspection needs to be.
Sounds like “White Privilege” to me.
US Politicians?
Ethics?
QED.
Circling back Jen.
If I remember correctly the Obama and Clinton Adm said the very same thing.
We have high standards, although we ignore them!
Nepotism is only a problem if you’re a Republican!
Possibly the worst example is JFK making his brother RFK AG !
Leftists lie...constantly.
