Despite having their weapons seized and pleading guilty to charges in connection with pointing guns at Black Lives Matter rioters on their private property during the summer of 2020, Mark and Patricia McCloskey appeared defiant Saturday, posting a picture of a new AR-15 the St. Louis couple intends to buy.
"Checking out my new AR!" Mark McCloskey tweeted along with two pictures: one with McCloskey at a gun store with the owner, and another with him and his wife, Patricia. In both, he is holding an AR-15 rifle.
The picture came just two days after the McCloskeys pleaded guilty to lesser charges and agreed to pay fines in connection with last summer’s incident involving Black Lives Matter rioters who tore down an iron gate and ignored a "No Trespassing" sign on their private street. The couple said they felt threatened and armed themselves before heading outside to warn off the crowd.

Some people don’t spend time in front of the mirror to get “the look” down.
Since they didn’t have to use the weapons, you have no idea of how they would have performed - despite not meeting your “standard” of presentation.
The 6.5 Creedmoor
Our local Farm and Ranch store has had plenty of 6mm and 6.5 MM Creedmoor on the shelves, but nothing else.

Oh they had the look down. It was just a bad look.
I know how they would “perform.” Her pop gun was non-functional and he couldn’t register how to even hold his properly to make it “look” like he knew how to use it.
It ain’t my “standard” and there’s plenty of folks with basic and advanced experience who would conclude similarly if not vocally.
It was ass-clownery at its worst. They didn’t deserve prosecution. They deserved banishment to a firearms training class. :)
Well, not many people have that caliber and most who do, reload. They had to until fairly recently.
Thank you for making my point the first time.
I’m inclined to believe that they’re most likely provocateurs.
Yes, I have seen some. I’d like something that looks more like normal rifle. I’m not in love with the pistol grip.
I have seen some wood stocks shaped like the composite ones.
Thank you for the suggestion.
TF
Thank you. Wasn’t the 6.5 Grendel originated before the 6.5 Creedmoor?
Missouri is (perhaps was) the wood rifle stock capital of the world...
Back when the incident happened, I read that they were both dems. Now he swears he’s been a repub his whole life.
They live in a McMansion in dem land but now his campaign website shows him posing in the country with a John Deere & wearing a flannel instead of the pink polo shirt he was wearing during the incident.
Now he’s posing with a rifle while wearing faded jeans, yet his shirt has a polo player on it.
Total fake.
He’s a manicured lawyer and would be just another lawyertician making deals and getting rich in office.
No posts yet about one of the guns in question was inoperable because it was used in a court case, and was de-activated to be allowed in court. She might have been able to throw it at someone, but there was no way it would discharge a bullet.
Yes - although the 6.5 Creedmore is essentially the .250 Savage Ackley Improved, with bullet diameter increased a whopping 0.007" (and IIRC, the .250 AI has been around since FDR was president ;^)...
Yes. I know about AR and MO hardwood products. There are a number of reloading supply companies in MO and of course Hornady and Star Line. Also several lead bullet casters.
At one time I was a regional manager for a wholesale hardware company. I had 16 salesmen in TX, OK, AR, MO, KS, NE. Later I covered 11 states in another capacity.
Hardly a small town between Central AR and Central AZ that I have not been in. I like the MidWest and West a lot.
Yes sir. About as good as it gets.
Start about $1,500. I have been tempted a number of times. I have lots of good ones, but not that one.
The muzzle device really does work as advertised, it reduces recoil and flash.
Thank you. It is a proven great weapon.
Beautiful! Where can I buy that model of an A-10?
Disagree a bit.
Buying more guns was a big FU to the judge and DA, who deserved it.
I don't think it was just to look tough.
