Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms blames soaring crime and 50% increase in murders on Republicans ending COVID restrictions early and lax gun laws

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms blamed the city's crime wave on state Republicans lifting COVID-19 restrictions too early and lax gun laws.

In an interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle on Friday, the mayor attributed a 50 percent increase in homicides, in part, to lax gun laws, teenagers having too much free time on their hands and the state lifting its COVID-19 restrictions back in April.

'Remember, in Georgia, we were opened up before the rest of the country, even before the CDC said that it was safe for us to open,' Bottoms explained to Ruhle.

Maybe Joe and the ho will. I certainly don’t buy one single, solitary word of it. Not a word.

Bottoms is in political trouble so she’ll blame the Man in the Moon if it will deflect attention from her incompetence and racism.

Hopefully her “Bottoms” will soon be in jail.

So this racist mayor wants to keep everyone in Atlanta under house arrest?

The same low IQ mayor thinks criminals actually obey laws?

Sort of like banning illegal drugs made the drug problem go away right?

If you go back to 17 November 2017...you had twelve people running for mayor. Bottoms took only 26-percent of the vote, and the second-place candidate took 21-percent. You could say that the second-place person (Norwood) being a Buckhead resident...was a business woman and probably more qualified at executive management.

But in this case, the other ten candidates took 53-percent of the vote...meaning people weren’t excited about either one.

The runoff on 5 December 2017? Roughly same number of voters from the previous election. Norwood loses by about 800 votes (fairly close). The vote coming out of Buckhead? Overwhelming for Norwood.

With all this recent chatter about Buckhead divorcing itself from Atlanta....you see the consequences of that 2017 election at hand, with the 50-percent increase of murders, and violent crime on the rise. Bottoms isn’t the person who can handle the situation.

I drive a 2001 Chevy Pick up.
Got it new.
I could afford a new Porsche or one of the new Vetts but I am not ready for one of them. I like my truck. Were I to get a new high performance vehicle I’d probably get killed.
Same goes for Keisha Lance Bottoms, she was not prepared to handle to job as Atlanta Mayor. Maybe run an ice cream shop.

Bottoms was also in the running for Bidens VP but she turned it down....she’s not running for re-election so she’ll just say what she wants now.

When we first moved to Georgia it wasn’t unusual for both major candidates to have A or A+ ratings from the NRA, except for Atlanta. By the time we moved away in 2016 most Dems had got back on the plantation and touted gun control as part of their platform.

Atlanta (my humble belief) is a unique lab ‘experiment’ where ‘old’ Atlanta has taken five or six suburbs (Buckhead being one) and dragged them into greater-Atlanta. For all the advancements in the 1960s and since...it’s NOT a cohesive city.

Since the Braves moved out toward Buckhead, and most of the malls within the inner-city are decaying/dying-off...it’s become a commuter nightmare and traffic jams are becoming legendary.

Once Buckhead separates and moves to be it’s own city...I’ll predict within three years at least one additional suburb will do the same thing.

It’s a politically charged up town, and virtually every single function (even the police) are some political tool. Locally (just for 2021), there’s been 13 folks killed (shot) on the roadways within the city so far, and a highly charged-up atmosphere dragging it toward urbanized warfare (like Chicago already is).

Well she but heads often with Gov. Kemp....she certainly came across as very racist and not about helping the peple of Atlanta...rather to just swing Bidens agenda.

Eastern Atlanta is a place I avoid when I travel through the region. You can sense the hatred and tension. There are some nice hotels on that side of town, but I will not stay in the Lithonia area again.

My daughter lives on the East Coast, but I think my days of traveling there are about over. I have no desire to leave Texas. For me, looks like rough weather in the near future and this is a good place to hunker down, and try to live a sane life.

Actually on a certain level she is correct.

They trapped us all like rats for over a year. There are huge psychological impacts for what they have done to us. Ranging from extreme paranoia, fear, anxiety, depression of people normally/generally considered mentally stable.

Consider for a moment those who are criminally unstable. Consider the messaging of being non-essential, your life is non-essential. Consider this online indoctrination center called the internet. BLM messaging and defund the police messaging.

Even under the best of circumstances I would expect and anticipate to see a temporary spike in crime and even murder. Just as we see a spike in travel right now too.

Lance is wrong though about the “cause.” It isn’t about ending restrictions too early. It is the normal and natural progression of a certain element within any society after being confined for soooo long.

One part of society will celebrate in a healthy way. The other will release the pent up anxiety in a dangerous way and with total disregard.

Right now is a very dangerous time for a lot of reasons. And it is really important to not let democrats use this excuse to infringe on our Right to protect ourselves. This is being ginned up, gaslighted. Heck ...it might even have been anticipated by them...I know I anticipated it.

But the spike in crime/murders has nothing to do with Republicans lifting restrictions too early and everything to do with the Mayor not understanding the psychology of confinement for torturous lengths of time.

As ‘brands’ go, Bottoms just needed to convince the bulk of the Atlanta-black vote (makes up 52-percent of the city) that she’s got the answers. In 2017, she accomplished that.

As for state-wide attention, she needs to sell her management of Atlanta, helping the ‘victims’ of Atlanta, and chat over Obama-success stories.

If you were going to grade what’s she’s accomplished since 2017...I’d give her a D-plus grade. That’s why she isn’t running in the November mayor’s election.

Projection is just one more tool used by criminal democrats in their CWII strategy to destroy their enemy and take over complete control of our society.
