Sen. Portman: 11 GOP Senators ‘Absolutely Committed’ to Infrastructure Deal — It Helps Biden Keep Pledge
Breitbart ^ | 20 Jun 2021 | PAM KEY

Posted on 06/20/2021 2:22:15 PM PDT by Hojczyk

Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the 11 Republican senators working on an infrastructure deal are “absolutely committed to it.”

Anchor Chuck Todd said, “There are many Democratic activists whispering in the administration’s ear. You think you have 11 Republicans, and the deal dies, or this is being dragged back. How committed is this group of 11 Republicans to sticking by this bill even if Mitch McConnell says he can’t vote for it?”

Portman said, “I think we’re absolutely committed to it. I think there’s a number of others as well on both sides of the aisle. Last week I heard from a lot of my colleagues saying I just need to look at one other issue, can you do this, do that. There’s a lot of interest in having a bipartisan proposal. Chuck, this is growing the vote from the middle out. Unfortunately, that’s where we are right now in Congress. It’s more likely we’ll have success in doing that. You recall at the end of last year, we did the same thing with regard to a COVID-19 package which helped to get that final package done at the end of the year after really almost a year of no activity on something that was really necessary. This is the same thing.

Everybody wants to do infrastructure. President Trump had a $2 trillion package he was proposing. President Biden proposed one in his campaign. By the way, this helps President Biden keep that pledge of having an infrastructure package, but also to keep his pledge of doing things cross the aisle and getting something done.”

In the fwiw department, if there is any spending on “infrastructure,” 90% will be in blue states.

Republicans in congress had an opportunity to support a president who was uniquely qualified to address our aging infrastructure. Instead of supporting him, they undermined him for four years and applauded the opposition in stealing the election.

Unfortunately the voters will continue to reelect these traitors.

“Doing things across the aisle.” What do you think our side will walk away with as a victory? You can be assured, it won’t be anything conservatives want.

"F’n Uniparty (R). They destroyed Trump, MAGA. America."

History may reveal that Trump was the last great hope to restore the Republic. It may be sad!y ironic that Trump was the last president prior to America's side into full blown socialism and one party rule as in China.

Trillion dollars of utter waste...
11 GOP members maintaining their fellow-traveler status...

IAC, to pay for it, we could eliminate all our aircraft carriers as well as the cruisers... Thereby making money for millions of necessary sex-change operations available...

Maybe save for the inevitable reparations if we bulldoze all the planes off the carrier decks first... Just like we did after end of WWII,,,

Apply gun control to all of our military... Confiscation and destruction would free up money for climate technologies needed to stop the rise in ocean levels...

Finally, a key requirement would be that all government program funds going to social security & Medicare recipients over the age of 55 would be eliminated... These funds would be used for critical organizations like BLM, Antifa, and the purchase of H. Biden’s artwork...

Another possibility to provide our communist government with “discretionary” funds would be to raise the base income tax on all registered deplorables to 85%...

"...prior to America's side into full blown socialism..."

That occurred many decades ago...
Where have you been?

This country is now a communist nation and will remain so for the foreseeable future...
