Been saying it all along, the main driver for adding new states is to change the flag.
You forgot the PUKE warning
“What if the stripes were OFF-white? What if there were 52 stars to include D.C. and Puerto Rico? What if the stars were the colors of ALL of us — your skin tone and mine”
What if you just STFU and pound sand at the same time.

Kiss my hairy …
The Gadsden Flag would be most appropriate and fitting.
DC is too small to be a state. (So are Rhode Island and Delaware, but we’re stuck with them.) Puerto Ricans have voted consistently that they like things just the way they are.
No one on the left gives a d*mn about any of this. Adding two more leftist states is the legislative equivalent of packing the Supreme Court. The issue is always the revolution, and until we get rid of the leftists, we will always have the revolution.
“The Confederate battle flag, which was crafted as a symbol of opposition to the abolishment of slavery,”
Bovine Scat! I was created as an opposition to Federalism and as a symbol of the States rights to self government as enumerated in the 10th Amendment.
I knew Juneteenth day was nothing more than a Trojan horse.
I have one word, “BULLS...!”
How about honoring the flag that we have now?
Right, and don’t forget the new anthem for our bi-racially-divided country.
Replacing the stars with marijuana leaves and the stripes with a rainbow of injection needles.
I like MarketWatch’s financial articles. But this story shows that they can be as crazy, racist, and divisive as any site out there. Different colored stars for different skin colors? What a great way to Balkanize us even more.
“United we stand, divided we fall.”
Oops. I should not have typed that. The quote is attributed to Aesop, a white man. I should have picked a more inclusive saying. I’m very sorry.
F them - the American flag is the same one that fought to free the slaves - AND - Jan 6 has NOTHING to do with race or anti-slavery thoughts.
Kick this communist in the nuts.
So I went and looked at the proposed flag. Seven stars are white, thirteen stars are black and the rest of the stars are various shades of tan. Which may reflect the population of the U.S. as seen in commercials and print ads but not in reality.
Yesterday I was surprised to find that there is a ‘Juneteenth’ flag—actually several of them. They (whoever they are) haven’t quite decided on a design. Several are red and blue with a white star, some are red and black with the star and some are defaced American flags with green and black. Some oddly featured the raised black fist—as if those slaves emancipated themselves.
This got me to thinking that when talking about the new holiday we should emphasize that it was the Republican-led North and West that led to emancipation of the slaves in the democrat-led South.
First of all, having skin tone colors as stars vs picking one contrasting color to represent states is always going to result in squabbling because at any snapshot in time the flag races are not going to reflect the proportion of people of the various levels of pigmentation. That defeats the first purpose of a flag, which is being a rallying point.
If you pick gray stripes, you should pick one or two tasteful solid color that the gray sets off. You can go with your cool and warm reds, but they should be solid because printed fabrics are inferior and less weather resistant than good yarn dyed textiles. You’ll end up with a sad little white flag, bleached out in the sun. Great if your purpose is to signal your surrender, but not so great otherwise.
If the adults ever get back in charge, unappreciative, misinformed creeps like this guy may have trouble finding jobs.
BTW, you wouldn’t happen to be a football coach, would you? I am an Auburn fan.
