The more people see of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the less they seem to like. Over the last six years, as the California Republican has gone from being largely unknown among U.S. voters to a national figure, his polling numbers have trended downward. According to Quinnipiac’s May 26 poll, McCarthy now has the lowest favorability rate of top congressional leaders at just 12% — an astounding three points lower than Sen. Mitch McConnell.
That includes groups conservative leaders need to appeal to: A Morning Consult/Politico May 21-24 poll found McCarthy with high unfavorability ratings among several groups critical to the GOP coalition. Christians had a 28% favorable and 41% unfavorable view of him, retirees had a 26% favorable and 49% unfavorable view of him, and families with a military member as head of household had a 29% favorable and 39% unfavorable view of him.
He’s not endearing himself to Donald Trump fans, either. The same Morning Consult/Politico’s poll found that among 2020 Trump voters who had an opinion of McCarthy, 37% had an unfavorable view of him. Compare that to an October 2018 poll by The Economist/YouGov, which found among Trump 2016 voters who had an opinion of McCarthy, only 22% were unfavorable.

Trump has transformed the Republican party into a much more working class party with his MAGA brand. The establishment RINOs resent it, and want to return to appealing to the country club crowd. Congress is generally held in contempt by the public. So it isn’t surprising that Congressional leaders have high negatives. However, the refusal of GOP leadership to defend the basic tenant of free and fair elections results in extreme dissatisfaction from many. These “leaders” need replacement sooner rather than later.
The old saying seems to be app here, ‘birds of a feather flock together’. You are known by the company you keep.

The Republicans have weak leaders who are outright collaborators and people who go along to get along, none of whom are willing to fight back against the Democrats.

Every member of Congress and much of the rest of Washington knows exactly who killed Ashli Babbit.
The big question is how and why are they keeping that information secret. Washington city where everything leaks and yet not a peep.

Apparently there are, like normal, a lot of Republicans not paying attention. McCarthey’s approval is entirely too high. He needs greater name recognition. I wonder how MTG compares name recognition-wise and approval, obviously she’s higher in approval than McCarthey
How in the world can you like McCarthey when he is a flipflopping RINO? He doesn't give a damn about Trump, you or me.
....some time ago, maybe last year or the year before, some pundit wrote that McCarthy just dreams about becoming speaker of the house some day....maybe he suffers from blind ambition or something....I don’t trust him or any politician for that matter....

After what these three did to Bob McDonell and VA was just a test for their destruction of the entire country. All three should get the McDonnell treatment and their entire families should pay the same price.
