Trudeau says no deal on lifting border restrictions after talks with Biden

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Sunday that he and President Biden hadn't reached a deal about lifting coronavirus border restrictions after discussing the matter.

Trudeau said during a press conference that he spoke with Biden about lifting the ban on nonessential travel between the U.S. and Canada. The restrictions were imposed in March 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both U.S. and Canadian business leaders have complained about the border restrictions, which lowered tourist travel between the two countries, affecting Canadian businesses and airlines that depend on tourism, Reuters noted.

Trudeau said Canada needs more of its citizens to be vaccinated before border restrictions are lifted, adding that he will work closely with the Biden administration to be on the right path.

"We will continue to work closely together on moving forward in the right way but each of us always will put at the forefront the interests and the safety of our own citizens," Trudeau said in the press conference.

Canada announced last week that it will relax quarantine protocols for fully vaccinated citizens starting in July.

Just 17% of Canadians have been able to get the vaccine, that’s how great socialist healthcare systems deliver, or in this case, fail to deliver. It’s a third world system coming to America if we allow it. Notice how the media never tells this story?

Smugness and socialism makes for a insufferable combination.

Or this may just be little Justin’s way of saying that he doesn’t want the garbage that Xiden’s handlers allow to overflow over our southern borders to continue northward.

In this case that’s good. The crap healthcare system here is finally actually saving lives. Especially now, one would have to be the world’s biggest fool to go and get injected with their toxins.

Here in western Canada, there’s no smugness. We are fighting for our rights to even exist.

They are trying to force vaccines on us too after they straight up said they wouldn’t. Alberta’s 2i/c told me right to my face they wouldn’t do that.

I live in Canada as a US ex pat, married up here.

you are exactly right.

I can go to the USA anytime I want, bit the effing Cnadians won;t let me back in via land crossing without making me pay for a pre arrival test, and then 2 weeks of quarantine is a federally sponsored hpotel ( a prison) to the tune of $3000.00

Trudeau’s socialism does NOT work. Anyone in America who thinks that Boiden will be good for America is a flaming idiot. Trump ALL THE WAY!

Trudeau had a chance to help fund Operation Warp Speed, but Trudeus left ideology and hatred of Trumps obvious superior success made him go to Europe for vaccine supply, The Euroweenies reneged on their supply deal and so now Canada is behind the USA in vaccinations like a third world country. The Europeans stabbed Canada in the back, and you won;t read about that in the media either.

Whats more, when some provionces asjed for vaccine, especially Montana to Manitoba, Biden stopped it cold. The resukt, Trumps reputation is growing among Canadians who now see the lies that Trudeau had his CBC media spread about President Trump.

I voted for Trump twice, and I hope that I get to do it again.

I want to see a Trump like prime Minister of Canada too, so do many Canadians! Canada has grown tired of the freedom reducing Liberal tax and spend assholles across the country.

I went to this website: https://health-infobase.canada.ca/covid-19/vaccination-coverage/

And it claims that 70% of the 12 and older population has at least one dose, but only 9% are fully vacinated.

What is Canada doing, waiting until everyone has their first dose before going back and giving second doses? I thought that the two doses had to be a specific time apart, for example 2 weeks for the Pfizer jab, in order to be most effective.

Yes, something like between 2-5 weeks for full effect. The Brits did the same due to low supply, told people to wait after their first which is why they are in trouble as one dose is only 30% effective for the new strain vs. 90% after two.

My mind can’t wrap itself around how even Trudeau is more patriotic than Chomo Joe.
