And if the power grid goes down...
We buy most of our food from local sources. It’s important to know who you buy from. Some of the bigger farmers markets have people drive in from miles away with stuff that they purchase from retailers and then sell at high prices. I do CSA which means I pay forward for the food and get debit cards back that I use to purchase the food. I know the people I buy from. Same with meat. I just ordered half a pig. I know, make jokes about it falling over. Haha. We have over ten square feet of freezer space. We do buy fish from a company in Alaska. It arrives frozen sold every six weeks. Very good quality. I even buy green coffee beans from a Kansas company that grows them in Honduras. Roasted in Kansas if you want and free shipping. I buy eggs from a neighbor except for duck eggs, our friends give us duck eggs. I buy other stuff in bulk from Costco so if the SHTF, we‘re okay for a while although we‘ll have a huge BBQ.
It never happened. It was a false flag to jack prices. Would they? Absolutely...
