A buddy of mine had an interesting fix for illegal. He proposed to hand load ammo with high explosives in place of gun powder and leave this ammo where it could be found in the hood. Then when the punks used that ammo, their guns would blow up. Kinda like fentanol laced drugs.

I believe something similar was implemented in South Africa before Mandela took over. Hand grenades were distributed in ‘sketchy’ areas that went off right after the pin was pulled. This was frowned upon by the ‘international community’.
