China on Sunday pointedly cautioned Group of Seven leaders that the days when "small" groups of countries decided the fate of the world was long gone, hitting back at the world's richest democracies which have sought a unified position over Beijing.
"The days when global decisions were dictated by a small group of countries are long gone," a spokesman for the Chinese embassy in London said.
"We always believe that countries, big or small, strong or weak, poor or rich, are equals, and that world affairs should be handled through consultation by all countries."
The G7, whose leaders are meeting in southwestern England, has been searching for a coherent response to the growing assertiveness of President Xi Jinping after China’s spectacular economic and military rise over the past 40 years.
Leaders of the group - the United States, Canada, Britain, Germany, Italy, France and Japan - want to use their gathering in the English seaside resort of Carbis Bay to show the world that the richest democracies can offer an alternative to China’s growing clout.

About 30 years ago the world's industrialized nations (US/Europe/Japan etc) made a huge, huge mistake by not banning Chinese made goods from their shores. Had they done so Red China's cities' streets would still feature 600,000 bicycles at rush hour as Guangzhou's (Canton's) streets did during my first visit in 1981.
But soon Red China will have the largest economy in the world and their leaders...elected by nobody in particular...will still have the desire to dominate Asia,Africa and South America.
And thanks to that mistake of long ago they'll have the ability.

Don’t lump ALL Asian countries together . In many ways Taiwan and Japan ( from which I can speak from experience ) are freer than the USA in 2021 .

The globalists thought that "they" were going to be in charge of the new world order, and that after using china to take down the American manufacturing powerhouse, they chicoms would humbly and obediently fall into step behind the New Arcadians.
The war between Xi and the Davos elite should be interesting.

Yes,very true. When we buy China's worthless cr@p in order to save a few pennies we strengthen them (particularly their military) and weaken our middle class...and working class.
