At best, it ought to be noted that only 9-percent of Denver is black. From the city council (13), I think two are black. With the exception of Salt Lake City or Boise....I think one of the largest cities in the US without any real black population.
COL is a stronghold of wealthy, rural black ranchers
Looking forward to the draft. Pirates pick first.
I gave up baseball 20 years ago. There’s little more disgusting than a ball player paid over 6-figures a week charging a little kid for an autograph at a baseball card show.
I love baseball and my favorite team. Haven’t watched any in the past two seasons because they’ve gone over to the dark side.
As a radical Washington Nationals fan I stopped paying any attention to MLB when they stepped up and supported BLM.
My hope is someone starts a new league and MLB goes bankrupt
“...after the North Carolina legislature passed a law requiring transgender persons to use public restrooms corresponding to the sex on their birth certificate.”
This is incorrect, at least to my understanding. The law passed allowed businesses to choose if they wanted to allow men to use their woman’s facilities. Charlotte had previously passed an ordinance that required businesses to allow this. The state law allowed property owners in Charlotte to make their own decision.
Freegards
Is baseball still a thing?
How many of those downtown Atlanta businesses vote for the DemoRats?
Any of them that lose revenue from the move well who cares.
Although I do have a problem with the $100 million estimate. The stadium holds a little over 40,000. That's an estimate of $2,500 per person. I think someone is pulling numbers out of his backside for that.
And I’ve heard that Colorado’s voting laws are more restrictive than the new law passed in Georgia. So baseball’s attempt to make a political statement isn’t even factually correct, in moving the game based on the alleged racism and bigotry of the new Georgia law.
MLB struck out on America, not “black America”.
I wish the Atlanta Businesses success with their lawsuit!
There are plenty of black people playing baseball. They just happen to be from the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Puerto Rico.
**This voter integrity measure has been attacked for allegedly denying persons of color the ability to vote.**
i.e. Black people are too stupid to register and vote.
I turned my back on MLB the first time the Dodgers, a team I had been following for sixty years, took a knee during the National Anthem.
Thank Stacy Abrams. She cut off her nose…..
