The outgoing spy agency chief reveals Israel was behind recent attacks targeting Iran’s nuclear programme and its top scientist.
The outgoing chief of Israel’s Mossad intelligence service has offered the closest acknowledgement yet his country was behind recent attacks targeting Iran’s nuclear programme and a military scientist.
The comments by Yossi Cohen, speaking to Israel’s Channel 12 investigative programme Uvda in a segment aired on Thursday night, offered an extraordinary debriefing by the head of the typically secretive agency in what appears to be the final days of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s rule.
It also gave a clear warning to other scientists in Iran’s nuclear programme that they too could become targets for assassination even as diplomats in Vienna try to negotiate terms to try to salvage the 2015 nuclear accord with world powers. United States President Joe Biden has dispatched his diplomats to revive the landmark deal from which his predecessor, Donald Trump, walked away in 2018.
“If the scientist is willing to change career and will not hurt us anymore, then yes, sometimes we offer them” a way out, Cohen said.

The interviewer, journalist Ilan Dayan, also seemingly offered a detailed description in a voiceover of how Israel snuck the explosives into Natanz’s underground halls.
“The man who was responsible for these explosions, it becomes clear, made sure to supply to the Iranians the marble foundation on which the centrifuges are placed,” Dayan said. “As they install this foundation within the Natanz facility, they have no idea that it already includes an enormous amount of explosives.”

A confession is good for the soul and the confession reveals Israeli action inside Iran that is much more damaging than Hamas or Hezbollah
Iran’s IRG have recently acquired a Russian spy satellite: Kanopus-V with resolution to 1.2 meters. This will enable them to track in real time both Israeli and US military movements as well as provide targeting data. The data will be downloaded to a new facility near Karaj west of Tehran. Russian trainers are arriving to teach them how to operate and interpret the data.
Iran has never overtly committed and act of war.
Iran hides behind the transparent skirts of surrogates knowing they dare not act alone.

So that whole Iran-Iraq war thingy was a media invention?
Well no. I was of the opinion that Iran was attacked and forced to defend
Oh, and regarding Russia.......
Putin’s main job after saving Mother Russia is chief salesman. Russia sells weapons to create jobs. The terms of sale may be rather vague about payment.
Well, the Iranians bought a sat that is 4 years into a 5 year service life and the best resolution is 2.1 meters on a swath of 23.3 km, not 1.2 meters.
They won’t be reading license plates.
No its a recent advanced Russian version likely launched last year and it does have the 1.2 meter res.
Bkmk
Putin never lies, as we all know. The Russian government, like the Chinese, are always truthful and never would let such advanced military stuff be sold to foreigners, no never; and just dismiss the unfounded rumors that Russia sold advanced S-400 systems to Turkey and T-90 tanks to Syria - all just fake news. Right?
If CCP shills are called influencers and wumaos, what are Russian shills called? Inquiring minds and all.
The story has been debunked by the Jerusalem Post, not much of a shill for the CCP. Look at the link.
OK you know it all then
None of us knows it all. If we each choose, we can educate ourselves from media sources available. Some will be true, some will not.
I choose to be a skeptic, a doubter, until some sort of independent verification is available.
When I checked out this story, I found that the original story was about a proposed satellite, not one that had launched. The last satellite launched had a much poorer aspect and that was in 2018.
Even so called mainstream news sources get hustled, often. Even the claimed 1.5 meter resolution is OK for agriculture and weather and that is about all.
That’s why I couldn’t see why all the fluff. The Ruskies got hustled too. It’s all about a very active Iranian PR machine and lazy journalists and anonymous sources.
