I’m all for it, but the federal government sets immigration
law, and I’m not sure a state can do it on this on their
own.

This will wind up in court at the outside of thirty seconds
after Abbott tries it.

Again, I like the idea Abbott has presented.

I thought that if a state declared an emergency that they had all the rights to protect it’s citizens. Wish someone would clarify this.

even if you are an illegal you can still be convicted for trespassing on State property, wall or not.

Without implicating federal law, I see no reason why the State of Texas can’t build a wall in its own territory. Just don’t call it a border wall. Call it something else, or nothing at all.
