Fox News Heir Spent $20 Million Opposing Trump

James Murdoch, an heir to the Fox News fortune, spent $20 million opposing Donald Trump's 2020 reelection while funneling another $100 million through a nonprofit to support leftwing political groups, according to a new report.

James and his wife, Kathryn Murdoch, have largely backed Democrats or liberal, nonpartisan causes, according to CNBC, which found the large contribution while reviewing the 2019 tax return documents of Quadrivium, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit the couple control. Quadrivium was founded in 2014.

It has been widely known that the young Murdochs backed President Joe Biden's candidacy, but the $100 million for Democrats and other PACs was not well publicized, having been funneled through Quadrivium, CNBC reported.

The Murdoch family is worth $22 billion, according to Forbes.

The family controls Fox Corp and News Corp. James' brother, Lachlan Murdoch, is CEO of Fox, the parent to Fox News.

While James' father, 90-year-old billionaire Rupert Murdoch, and brother, Lachlan, are considered staunch Republicans, James has made known to associates that upon his father’s passing he and his more liberal sisters will control the family trust, and thereby Fox News.

Earlier this year, a report in the Financial Times reported that upon gaining control, James and his sisters do not plan on selling Fox News, but will reshape it into an establishment media outlet.

More than $25 million of James and Kathryn’s funding in 2019 went toward grants, including for several political causes, such as fighting climate change and helping voter turnout.

That was not the extent of the funding for the 2020 election cycle, a source close to the family told CNBC, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

Quadrivium had $100 million in its coffers going into 2020, the tax document showed — the same year James was CEO of 21st Century Fox

I.e., vote theft.

This isn’t “one man, one vote.” This is gaming the system.

“ I wish everyone would quit watching Fox News. They flipped on Trump election night and by 10 pm I was gone. Calling Arizona so early but refused to call Florida..”

It was horrible. It wasn’t surprising. Brett, that Wallace, McCallum. But it was still outrageous. They were working to cheat the election for the democrats. They were very instrumental in the steal.

Everyone knows trump has arizona...they knew it then. Biden could not fill the parking lot of a used car dealership. There they were, the three of them, their campaign coverage staff pushing the cheat

Then They doubled down. Next few days with the president elect Biden crap. Everyone knows it is not true.

I reprogrammed all my DVR saves immediately. Laura ingraham signed a huge contract with them soon after. I used to defend her from people who found her nasty voice too much. No. I will not watch her.

I will not watch them

I haven’t watched them regularly in years. Snippets of Tucker every now and then is about it.

I haven’t watched Fox News since the election. As a matter of fact I haven’t watched any news station since the election. I can’t stand to hear Biden’s name. I get my news from FR and Epoch Times.

How did that work out for Fox ratings after the elections? OAN and Newsmax TV can't wait.

I think that's exactly right. The big draws to Fox News (Carlson, Hannity, etc.) are ideologically conservative. I'm sure they will jump ship to OAN or Newsmax. Fox will become just another bland network, and these scions of the Murdoch family will have greatly diminished the value of their holdings.

Another dynasty/heir problem.

True. One wonders how Donald Trump Jr. avoided this.

This explains everything.
It also explains why Faux News is going to die very quickly once this gets widely distributed.

So all those people still watching Tucker, Ingraham and Hannity are supporting left wing causes in directly. Makes me glad I dumped all of them not just Fox.

On the bright side, I discovered a different genre of music that is awesome, watched a boat load of cool documentaries and some kick ass Russian war movies. They have a whole different outlook on war.

Used to love to watch tucker and Ingram. I don’t miss them. When the fraud is proven then some like fox will switch back to backing Trump for the money. I hope Trump does NOT give them 1 interview. Use and help build newsmax and OAN. One America is ok but I hear the same thing on their station all morning. “GOD bless America, thanks for being here”. I don’t mind hearing God bless America. But gets old. Sounds like the my pillow guy saying it. But I watch bannon war room. But his interrupting people gets old… ha ha hang hang hang hang on.

Was it James’ wife who tweeted out the next day “we won” ?

I admit, I still watch Tucker and Gutfeld every once in awhile.
My wife still wants to watch Hannity and Laura all the time.
I am tired of arguing with her about it, so I just go to bed.

“If they resign Tucker...”

It’s an inevitability. Has nothing to do with Tucker, Judge Jeanine etc.

The old man Murdoch is fading out and the leftist kids are taking over.
That’s that.

If I were Rupert, I’ll sell Fox News. Then set up a foundation and give away all my wealth to scholarships or something like that. The foundation would end after 10 years, otherwise, it’ll morph into something like the Ford Foumdation.
