My 4 bedroom 2000 square feet, split-level house costs about $1K per month (mortgage, utilities, insurance, property tax). I have 6 words for that:

location, location, location

Sweet Home Alabama!

RE: Must be Trumps fault.

IT IS. But the word “fault” should be replaced with ACHIEVEMENT.

I'd go back to work, but it would interfere with my nap schedule.....

(Also, I refuse to have a failed retirement)

Mine went out too. Repair crew were out twice in past two days, with several different explanations and ‘fixes’ - none of which worked. Getting qualified professionals who have pride in their work is difficult. Makes me sad.

“The figure suggests workers are growing more confident in their ability to find other employment.”

People that need a steady income normally find another job before quitting the one they have. As opposed to people that get a bigger government handout if they don’t work.

Don’t worry the government is importing million of low skilled uneducated people to take these jobs. Then what, keep the welfare permanent?

I’m in central Florida. Red county as can be but although it was cheap at one time, we’ve gotten expensive in areas. One is water. It’s expensive big time. The sun beats down hard so more water is needed. Then we have bug and termites. Even though I have a block house, we still need two termite policies and a annual bug program. They come and spray three times a year to ensure bugs don’t overtake the house. You could have a white glove home and you are not immune. Food is super expensive. A gallon of milk Is close to 4 dollars. Meats are extra expensive. We have HOAs all over. Good luck getting a home without them. Luckily mine is only 120 a month. And the biggest increase has been home insurance. Due to hurricanes and roof replacement, insurance is getting very expensive. Thankfully mine is only 1591 this year, but some neighbors have had them triple and also three companies are pulling out completely. So that will drive up costs even more. So there you have it. Lol.
