Did we ever need masks?
It’s a touchy, complex question. People may not want to learn that millions of us covered our faces for 15 months for no good reason after all. But asking the questions is exactly what we must do.
Last week, a trove of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails were released to the public. In a Feb. 5, 2020, email to a Team Obama health official, the virus guru wrote that masks were for infected people, and that “the typical mask you buy in a drug store is not really effective in keeping out the virus, which is small enough to pass through the material.

It’s crazy, no doubt. But I see the numbers here plummeting and it does make the oddballs look worse.
The saddest though, parents walking around with no mask with two young children in two with a baby carriage. Both kids, little girls wearing masks.
Child abuse.
Most people are maskless out here in AZ. The people I see continuing to wear the face diaper are mostly blacks and Asians.
Here’s a funny/sad story. State liquor stores required face masks. I walk in wearing mine. Plus I forgot to take off my sunglasses. Clerk had a fit because I was wearing sunglasses.
I never wore one except early on when I had to go grocery shopping and it was required. Other than that, never.
I’m 67 and in the “susceptible” group although aside from blood pressure and thyroid meds, I have no co-mobidities.
My entire family in Georgia, who wore masks religiously, all got it, although I did, and still, question the validity of the covid test.
“Someone sneezed in my face on a bus in Bermuda some years ago and as a result I got quite sick. I wish I had been wearing a mask, and in future I will be when in public.”
You have no way of knowing if that sneeze was how you caught whatever you caught. Pure supposition.
Nope.
Thanks for a good post and being vigilant and passionate about exposing their evils. It’s a breath of fresh air to see people like yourself who have the ability to be able to critically think. Most are content to absorb what the government says and fall in line and do as they’re told.
Very accurate picture.
No, it had a purpose!
It gave cover and an excuse for the Anti-First Amendment (Anti-FA) and BLM thugs to cover their faces while attacking, murdering, burning, looting, and creating mayhem!
Masks spread the virus. You breath in the masks. You touch the mask several times. You touch your face several times. You use the mask several times. Then you put it in your pocket, on a counter. In a drawer. You don’t wash your hands. You put the virus everywhere. Masks help spread the virus. 82% of New Yorkers in one study had gotten the virus and had used the mask all the time, or when they were near other people.
The ubiquitous blue masks come in a package that states they are not for medical use, However they work very well for turning the populace into compliant sheep.
The American public is just aware of this? What fools; sheep led to the slaughter! Best stay away from them and their stupidity!
I envy you--and pine for the days when California was a red state.
You are right, I am only 99.99% certain. It’s the only time I’ve been sick in the past 30 years.
The idea that dose matters a lot goes back to Paracelsus, the father of toxicology, in the 16th century. It is similar with infectious agents.
By all means, you go without a mask and get sick, and I will wear my mask in public and stay well. It’s fine with me. That’s freedom in action.
My 10 year old son said it was stupid when we first heard about mask requirements. Nothing follows...
Mask, by themselves, are useless.
Go to any medical facility and observe proper isolation technique. Mask are just one component. Gowns, paper booties, gloves, headgear (sometimes face shields) along with the mask are used when entering into an isolation room, and everything is put into a burn bag upon leaving the room (followed by good hand washing).
It is my opinion that the mask and social distancing was a way to instill fear in the population so they they would be more willing to accept draconian rules being issued by power hungry politicians.
With CoupFlu aerosols are the issue, not droplets.
Using the kind of disposable mask that says “NOT FOR USE IN HEALTHCARE SETTINGS” on the back of the box is like using chicken wire to keep out mosquitos.
I even had a doc admit as much. The masks may be good cues to remind folks to social distance, but that’s it.
Droplets in a sneeze yes, the tiny tiny virus particles no
That was a side benefit to the left.
