The Dr. Anthony Fauci email dump includes a puzzling image — a March Madness-style tournament bracket of fatal diseases, in which coronavirus emerges as champion.
The image is titled “Dr. Fauci’s March Madness Bracketology Picks.” It is dated March 11, 2020, and signed “—Tony F.”
In the morbid pool, coronavirus — top-seeded out of the East region — defeats a field that included such dreaded diseases as Ebola, H1N1, Zika, herpes, and measles.

You should hear the banter that goes on in Army motorpools, hospital break rooms, movie backlots, police barracks, teacher lounges, etc...
Gallows humor isn’t meant for outside ears or eyes and it’s part of a natural team bonding tradition going back millenia. It’s only since the era of political correctness and wokescolds that a leaked inside joke could be considered a scandal. This alone doesn’t mean Fauci is terrible at his job, there is plenty of other evidence that you can look at to draw that conclusion.
I think it’s unlikely to be done by Fauci himself though.

I wonder if they did a bracket this year for most deadly vaccine. I would have picked Moderna over MMR in round one.
He probably signed that document thinking that he could sell it and make some money because he is so “famous.”

Oh, absolutely. It will be soon. He was very useful as a media and deep-state foil when Trump was in office, but now, that show is over. Its time to pack up the circus tent and get rid of the props.
But he won't be fired. He'll be "allowed" to "retire" and be thanked for his service, never to be heard from again, or until a decade from now and another Republican needs bashing and they'll trot him out for a few comments like Jimmy Carter.
