It seems we are reaching the tipping point, where researchers feel safe to go on record that the WIV leak theory is quite possible. China and their lapdogs hold a huge amount of sway in the scientific community. Previously, none dared, as they would be shunned, lose research grants and see dwindling employment opportunities. Basically, the scientific version of being cancelled. It still takes some courage to speak out, but the tide is turning for now.
One day, I hope to see this tipping point with climate science. Unfortunately, going against AGW goes far beyond taking on China, and it will still cost you dearly.
