What right does Facebook or other websites have to ban, prohibit or suspend people from its website?

They “update” their policy every day. They snuck in an “orange man bad” clause.

They’re a private company, they can choose whether or not they want to allow individual persons or organizations to use their platform. They have that right.

President Trump was trying to get rid of Section 230, which gives them protection and the ability censor whoever they want, whenever they want. And the companies got tons of support from both sides in Congress.

Campaign records show that, while they favor the Dems, they give money to both sides.

Take away Section 230 and they can’t do what they do anymore.

Last I checked the First Amendment only protects us from abridgment of free speech by the government.

They're violating Section 230 and have become a content provider instead of a service provider. They're also guilty of illegal campaign contributions-in-kind. They need to be charged, fined, and stripped of their Section 230 liability waiver.
