Yet will the profit motive prevail for America if China's single focus militarized space program succeeds in occupying the strategic high ground of the moon? Or am I foolish in thinking in nationalistic terms when profit can be obtained regardless of which country wins the new space race?

while the US churns out 60,000 engineers a year, China churns out 600,000;

while US militaries and government agencies focus on climate change and environment as their priorities, Chinese military focuses on killing people and breaking things

Does any one wonder why industries that need STEM people turn to the Chinese?
