Sen. Ted Cruz used a clip from a 1975 Monty Python movie on Wednesday to mock Vice President Kamala Harris’ leadership on the border crisis, amid a record-breaking surge in illegal immigrants showing up at the southern crossing.
The GIF snippet from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” shows knights dropping their shields as they flee.
“Run away! Run away!” words on the video say.
Cruz wrote next to the clip, “On the border crisis, Kamala invokes an old leadership style…” and linked to a report from CNN about how the vice president’s staff have been pushing back on criticism of her overseeing the border situation.
Her staff, according to the report, say she is focused on the “root causes” — the conditions in Central America that are forcing people to come to the US.
They say Harris wants a portfolio of tasks that will allow her to win political victories looking toward her future, especially if she embarks on a presidential run.

I wonder if the Monty Python skits could be made in todays environment. They didn’t shy away from anything that was worthy of being poked fun at.

Bring up the holy hand grenade!
Harris is a joke, how many delegates did she earn again?
I still like the skit in THE LIFE OF BRIAN in which Stan suddenly wants to become a woman named Loretta, and have babies.

I thought he was going to compare her to brave Sir Robin.
Kamala Harris, Vice President of Central America
When water is cascading over the top of the dam you don't commission ecological studies to find out the root cause of why the dam is overflowing. No, you fix the immediate problem first and then worry about how you got to that point.
President or Supreme Court Justice either works for me.
