I don’t want to say she wasn’t a victim in all of this. She was. She was, however, also an abuser herself by using her position as an employee and politician to coerce her staffers into an intimate relationship with her. There can be more than one villain in a situation in real life. Her coercion of staff was the story the news covered, and that was the reason she isn’t a congresswoman today. The Nazi tattoo would have been the story if she were a republican, but she coerced staff into sex, and she wasn’t smart enough to lean into it like other politicians.

Orzoco has similarly rewarded two other former defendants in the suit. Last week she ordered Hill to pay just under $84,000 in legal fees to RedState editor Jennifer Van Laar, who asked for $120,340 after being let off on First Amendment grounds in April. Orzoco also granted radio host Joseph Messina nearly $30,000 after Hill sued him for publicizing the photos and for failing to notify authorities when he received them.

And Ms. Hill has a LawPay funding site if you want to make a public donation ...

Y'all hold on while I ask my wife.

“Hill’s lawyer, Carrie A. Goldberg, argued that the fees could bankrupt Hill, to which Orzoco replied that there was “not a lot I can do about it. Some of our laws have harsh results.””

Ha. I love this judge.

I came onto this thread thinking she was being wronged, but
it soon became obvious she had some real issues that cost
her dearly.

Well, choices were made...

Um...OK, who is Katie Hill? I have no idea. But I’m thinking that with the glut of porn available on the internet she must be spectacular. Otherwise, who would care what she looked like. Is she worried she is not going to get clicks or likes?

She and hubby were reportedly advertising swinger parties on reddit, where not surprisingly many images were available at the time.
Then it came out who she was and spez the spaz who runs reddit kinda scrubbed things it looks like.
Kinda hard for it to be revenge porn when you yourself were spreading it around on your own.
What a doof.

Here’s an idea.

Don’t ever pose nude for someone to take pictures and you’ll never have to worry about this sort of blackmail.

Seems SHE posted the photos first.
Being evidence of a scandalous crime, they were duly reported on.
She sued over the fair-use reporting of what she published.
England has a loser pays law.
She lost, she paid.

She is trying to fundraise to pay the damages through her lawyers. I went to the site and it appears that you can donate any amount you want. It would be awesome if everyone donated a penny.

Why? Because credit card companies generally charge a per transaction charge as well as a percentage of the total charge. For example, using a card the merchant is charged 10 cents per transaction plus 1.8% of the transaction amount. So if people give a penny, it costs them at least 9 cents.

The definition of, “porn” was diminished some decades ago by the, “tolerant” left. They told us that it was a form of expression protected by free speech rights.

Why would the paragons of virtue now claim that a simple photograph, published in the media, (freedom of the press) be “revenge porn”? Poor Katie, like most liberals she complains through her front hole and her back hole about how unjust the rules they created are unfair when applied to themselves.
