Wilmington Police Shooting Sees 3 Officers Gunned Down in Delaware

Three police officers were shot in Delaware on Wednesday night after they responded to a call from a local resident.

The officers were shot after they responded to a call at around 10:30 p.m. at the 2400 block of North Market Street, in Wilmington, according to a police statement.

Dozens of their colleagues responded, with the officers transported to a local hospital, where they are in a stable condition...

In an update to its original statement in the early hours of Thursday morning, the department confirmed that a police presence remained at the scene, while the incident is still being treated as an active investigation.

Several nearby blocks remained closed on Thursday morning.
