Kristian Andersen – the head of the Andersen Lab at Scripps Research Institute in California – told Dr. Fauci in late January 2020 that “unusual features” of the COVID-19 virus led him to believe it was “potentially engineered.”
The bombshell release from Dr. Fauci’s e-mails goes to disprove the political and media establishment’s claims that lab-leak or bio-weapon concerns were “conspiracy theories.”
In fact, Andersen is a government-funded scientists backed by Fauci’s own colleagues at the National Institutes for Health (NIH).
He wrote, on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10:32 PM:
“On a phylogenetic tree the virus looks totally normal and the close clustering with bats suggest that bats serve as the reservoir. The unusual features of the virus make up a really small part of the genome (<0.1%) so one has to look really closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (potentially) look engineered.”

Then Anderson wrote an article for Nature Mag saying that it likely came from nature a few weeks later

It’s obvious that this was all part of China’s chemical warfare program. Every major nation has one. They got careless.

If that is the case, why did the CCP ban travel to and fron Wuhan in China, but allowed international travel from Wuhan? It was intentional use of a weaponized virus and it worked better than the wildest expectations of the CCP.

So Anderson writes an article in Nature Mag that debunks the lab theory. However, earlier he writes an e-mail to Fauci saying that parts of the virus looks “unusual” and may have been lab made.

sounds sort of like circular confirmation like the Dossier doesn’t it
The early efforts seemed to focus on looking for a smoking gun in the biochemistry of the virus. It’s hard to tell from the outside, but other reports have observed that many of the current lab techniques won’t leave unambiguous “fingerprints”, so the story will probably have to be pieced together with a variety of different bits of evidence.
There are some funny bits in the biochemistry. The virus exhibits odd behavior in human hosts from a purely evolutionary perspective. The CCP sure acts guilty. And now we’ve got more leaking out about our own public health people people with, at minimum, conflicts of interest.
I’ve thought this was a bioweapon from the beginning, but that’s just been a hunch, not based on specific evidence.
A lot of very powerful people are highly incentivized to spike this, and it’s hard to see anyone with enough power with the opposite incentive to get the truth out.
Should be interesting to watch, though.
There are people who worked at the Wuhan lab and defected. The weaponization of the virus is not recent news.

As the past 18 months shows, the first part of Article I is obviously deeply flawed.
