Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey (R) on Wednesday announced that she will run for reelection, helping clear a primary field and her path to leading the state.
In a video announcing her bid, Ivey touted her response to the coronavirus pandemic and vowed to continue her tenure as a conservative leader of the Yellowhammer State.
"Here in Alabama, our government will always reflect your values," she said. "Life, liberty and freedom of opportunity for every single corner of this state."

In Birmingham they love the guv-nur. Ooo! Ooo! Ooo!
no thanks.
Alabama needs to clean their corrupt gope club house from top to bottom.
I really wish she wouldn’t, but we could do worse.
We could also do better...
Fine-keep your(other) powder dry.
Gas Tax Granny needs to retire.
She seems to be a good gov...........At least better than her predecessor who resigned.........
Agreed.
Governor MeMaw has got to go.
Mamaw, come home.
Mee-maw needs to go...We need someone Mo Brooks-ish.
I agree. but here in AL, when given a choice, we always seem to do worse.
Agreed. But with Mee-Maw in the race, we’ll probably end up with Twinkle Cavanaugh or Mary Scott Hunter running against her.
Look for Battle from Huntsville to make a push. In the dem side, the commie from Tuscaloosa.
That does seem to be a trend lately, and out-of-state influences have affected many of these poor choices.
I am sure she is not good enough for the FR Constant Corner of Condemnation. no one ever is.
she was awake during the steal, and didn’t stop it. she’s guilty of some sinister something or other. or she’s a lousy rino globalist deep state swamp flooder.
there’s going to be something desperately wrong with her.
Battle is good for Huntsville, but I don’t think he will be as popular down state.
Nope. Not voting for the face diaper loving RINO.
The face diaper mandate has been lifted, but Alabama was one of the last States to do so. Not that I ever obeyed the mandate, but still...
Because of Demonrat voter fraud, I refuse to vote in any election. But, Ivey needs to go.
In 2019, Battle and Huntsville reached 2.1-percent on unemployment. Covid screwed the numbers but Battle has been busy to attract companies into Huntsville. He’d do a major positive for the state to get companies to relocate.
Once upon a time, RINOs were ensconced once elected, with GOPe mega-money backing them and the primary field being flooded with pretend candidates so that any true conservative challenger didn't stand a chance.
Not any more. A Trump endorsement of a challenger is hopefully going to be a death-knell for RINOs that need to go.
